Just received a call from a PPI claim that I had put in for about two year ago telling me that a lawyer called Mr John Wilson freelancer had got a check for me for £2900 gave me a reference number of 1100352 said that they was coming to my property today to present me with this check and I had to pay a fee of £170 I told them that this didn’t sound right to me as all lawyers take their fee from any settlement I then called British Telecom for support and did not get it I went to Google to check

Told me that it was money for the government. Over £5000 coming to me. But wanted £150 fee. When I said if it's from the government I didn't need to pay a fee. She carried on saying that someone would come out with the cheque and I'd have to hand over the £150. Told her to forget it. No argument from her.. Stop these people.

Just had a guy called Ryan who rang me and said I had a cheque being hand delivered providing I gave him a Amazon gift card for 150 pounds he's comming to my house at 5pm today

Advised me they had cheque for £2900 for PPI compensation from Claims Advisory Group. I had to buy £150 Amazon card, because when John XXXXX calls round with cheque and all paperwork, he will require payment from this as they are unable to accept cash. A reference number was also quoted. Suspicious or what?

Advised my husband they had cheque for £2900 for PPI compensation, had to buy £150 amazon card, because when John XXXX calls round with cheque and all paperwork, he will require payment from this as they are unable to accept cash. A reference number was also quoted.

These people call u and let u know that u have been awarded ppi in return they tell u to buy Amazon gift cards. This is a scam . As I told them they should deliver my cheque and pay them for their services which didn’t go down well with them since they are a scam. So please don’t fall victim.
