I notice comments on here trying to say it's a normal company, then explain this. I missed the call from this number and called them back. I then get a recorded message saying it's the BT test call? BT not aware of this number.
Is this a scam number phoning up saying this was people plus and wanted to know if I did a course at the start of the year witch I had done and wanted to know if I’d been paid as they company that put me through my course was meant to pay for it witch they didn’t, they took notes down that was it
Where do people get the idea that this number is related to scam calls? This is a market research company carrying out research on behalf of businesses and for the government. Yes it took 20 minutes of my time but time is something I have at the moment. Having the chance to voice your opinion is a good thing isn't it? I know there are a lot of scams out there but in my opinion this isn't one of them. Give these guys a break, they are just trying to do their job.
Stated he wished to speak to Management. His name was Ben from D2N2 offering financial support in the COVID crisis - very pushy, argumentative, not happy when I stated our company was working as a keyworker! I had made a note of the telephone number, when called back its a BT test number!!!!!
Had a call saying he was calling from local government to ask if we needed financial help because of coronavirus.
He was sending a newsletter and a colleague would call me tomorrow.
Already knew my email address, postal address and phone number. Didn't ask for any more details. Perhaps the phone call tomorrow may ask for more details?!did call back and it said it was a BT test line. Did sound genuine though
Lovely young man that knows his machines, we are an engineering company and they were enquiring on any future machines, ie Bridgeports that we may be in the market for. Not a scam but a genuine company trying to sell a product. On this occasion we did not need their services, but I thought the reviews a shame for a genuine company making an enquiry.
Guy calling himself Adam (UK accent) saying from a company called EMS (Engineering Management Services) asking what machinery we had, we had already guessed it was a scam by the number so told him nothing, he kept persisting about what machinery, we said none, he gave up.
Pretending to be from Birmingham city council , very rude and persistent , if i didn't have the number flash up on my phone and if it wasn't for his battering of questions i would have believed him , avoid , he also gave me another ( 03300529999) number and when i called it they answered "Birmingham city council ". i dont know what they wanted as i didnt give them any details and thats all it seemed they were after
Called asking to speak to MD by name said he was calling about business development. When I rang it back, I got a recorded male voice saying "Thank you for calling the BT Test Line. Goodbye". Yea, not dodgy at all.
