I believe this to be safe, call from Worldpay checking on my PCI compliance. Seem to the point and scripted, doesnt mean its a scam.
They sent me an email with links to PC & mobile security, checked them out and seem genuine, cant guarantee it but it does link up to their website.
Woman claiming to be from Worldpay (card processor) wanting to verify some sort of compliance, seemed legit until she asked me to install some software on a works computer, at which point I hung up.
It's the number on the Worldpay website so it probably is them, but it'll be an autodialler followed by somebody reading a script where they imply that it's the law you have to pay them for some compliance service. Just stick them on hold and take bets how long they'll wait.
Pretty sure this is a scammer's number. Calls up with a nebulous sounding business name which I can't even clearly make out, then rabbits on about my business not being compliant in some equally nebulous way. Total rubbish. Woman with an NI accent last time.
Sent me loads of emails but no response, lol who you send them too, cant say! whatever just email me again then ,lol just give me de 5 didgets od de security code and we will pay you 1 million Ugandan dollars, (phonejacker )
Claim to be world pay but won’t answer any security questions from me as it’s against their security policy until I answer their security questions. Laughable. So unable to confirm exactly who they are but the keep ringing me even though we aren’t one of their customers.
It is a part of Worldpay but it's one of those ridiculous things that auto-dials and you wait ages before speaking to anyone.
I've used Worldpay before anyway - terrible company that treats their customers like dirt.
