Female caller. Scottish accent. Claiming to be from Eon. Wanting power meter serial number. Said the call was to advise me that she was sending an email to request meter details. Email arrived but not from valid Eon email address. Deleted email without opening. All emails from Eon should show in my account. This email did not. Treat as a scam
Male voice (no foreign accents) called me on my mobile no, saying he was calling from Eon. Addressed me by name and asked me to confirm the number and postcode of my address (he knew the road). I counter-challenged him by giving him part of my a/c number and asking him to tell me the rest WHICH HE DID! He then said that he was calling about the £3XX. I am not 100% it is a scam, but the lady said she was from eon next and wanted to take my details. I asked, "How do I know you are legitimately from Eon Next?" The lady replied that she would send me a confirmation e-mail. I waited a few seconds, for the lady to inform me that I do not have an e-mail address registered with them. I informed her that I do. I didn't want to be rude, so I said goodbye and hung up.

Rang me and claimed to be EON demanding that I pay in excess of £100 immediately, I am an EON customer and suspecting it to a scam call told them to take the money by direct debit like they normaly do, a woman with strong asian accent and quite verbaly threatening.
