They tried to transfer it, I called PayPal and tbh they were useless didn’t understand what was happening ie why my cash was frozen was given excuse that all will be fixed in 24 hrs lol I

Thank you for this site it was the clue I needed to start being cautious. They were very plausible and helpful including giving me the correct (i found later when I spoke to the actual fraud team) email address to take a screen shot and send of original text. And other very viable knowledge If in doubt call the fraud team they answer quickly and are matter of fact and will set your mind at ease

Just had a private number call me, and was texted by this number to "prove" that the call was real. I hung up and called Natwest, who confirmed that this was a fraudster.

Claiming to be Natwest Fraud. Asking me how much money I have in my accounts and any other accounts. When I wouldn't tell them asked me what I was wearing. Giggling boys in background.

Said they were Natwest Fraud, went through some details and then wanted my security details which I queried. This site let me know it was scam, thank you.

Claimed to be from Nat West, Said there were fraudulent items from my account. Wanted me to give security information which i wouldnt. Got shouty and loud. Wouldnt let me phone back. I hung up and they redialled.

SCAM call - said was from Natwest fraud and persuaded to use card reader, To generate codes, Give 3 of 4 digits of security code etc. Immediately afterwards realised scam and reported to Natwest - someone had tried to withdraw £2K - luckily blocked. Received this call after taken in by email from TV licensing saying failed payment and stupidly followed link... Beware!!

Unwanted calls and emails and messages

Called claiming to be from the Bank of Scotland saying they believed someone was fraudulently using my account. I thanked him for calling and said I would ring the fraud department of my bank to check. He then became verbally abusive telling me to XXXXX off and that he was coming to XXXXXX my daughter. Charming. Reported to the police.

They called saying that someone tried to take money out of my bank account! “Creating a new bank account to secure all my money so there for they ask you to transfer all your money to their account”

Stated that they were from natwest fraud and a direct debit/standing order had been set up in the last couple of days that I hadn't set up. Asked for my date of birth and last 3 digits of my postcode to verify my account and then hung up after. Called natwest fraud line after and no such DD had been set up. Scam and don't answer.

Called me and told me someone just ordered 85quids worth of deliver oo and to cancel it I had to tell them the number they just text me. I wouldn't tell them the number and they started to get irate with me. Hung up. Called natwest and no fraudulent activity noted.

Had 2 missed calls from number, Called back and spoke to Natwest, They advised they never call customers from this number. Always a 0800 number, And not to answer if calls again. The number is only for customers to call Natwest on.

Fake Natwest scammer, We put the phone down and called Natwest and they had no records of anything fraudulent happening on our account.

100% not NatWest. Just received a call from that number and put the phone down straight away and called NatWest fraud from the NatWest website no one from there had tried to contact me

Someone call me from this number to regarding my shopping in Amazon, I don't bought anything from Amazon. Say we block your card but I need some details from you, He ask me about customer number and my online pin. That looks suspicious for me and I tell I am going Bank to sort out. I call back to NatWest and I recognize it was scam.

This is a NatWest number but fraudsters can duplicate it so it comes up on your phones. The charity I volunteer for was scammed today by someone displaying this number and NatWest confirm it wasn't them. Beware.

I was called on this number and someone by the name of Simon Goodridge tried to get information from me saying that he was calling from the fraud department at Natwest. As soon as I challenged him and asked why he hasn't asked for any security questions he hang up.

This is a scam. Not Natwest. I nearly ended up giving them enough information to completely empty my bank accounts. If you're not sure Google the correct Natwest number and ask them if they've called you.

HOWEVER, I called Natwest (as I had deposited a cheque that day so I thought it might be genuine), And they had no record of calling me, Nothing to say they needed to. The man I spoke to said if Natwest call a customer they most often appear as an unknown number and would leave a voicemail. Take care out there folks

Just got called - the person suggested my natwest account was 'due for a review'. Complete bollucks - I hung up and didn't answer the second call. You will notice that a web search of the number also brings up bogus webpage pretending to be from natwest - but address shows it's just a blog site.

False. Scammers wanting you to transfer all your accounts to a temporary account. Don’t do it whatever they say.

This number was used today to attempt to scam me. The number is appearing on your phone like it is from Natwest but it is not. Always put down the phone and call back the number to get through to Natwest to verify, As the original call and text I got were both suspicious and lacked any verification requirements.

Is the correct number scam clones the number to look correct when they call, Was a cockney accent silent background not like a call canter call back on a different number to the bank and they will confirm they have or haven't called you or go to branch. They are after your card details so be careful. When one of my cards was cloned they just cancelled it then rang me to say they are posting another one I had to confirm no details of the card etc.

This IS NatWest! I have rung them, they have rung me to give me an update on something which I talked about at the bank.

Caller asked for 2 digits of my online pin which set off alarm bells. I said I'd contact Natwest myself.

SPAM. Called that my account is in danger and asked me to transfer funds. I picked up because I know this 'seem' to be a legitimate number, But somehow scammers are able to phone under this exact number. Don't share any details and better go and check with your bank in person.
