I had this number text me today stating that someone would be at my house on January 22nd between 12-4 to deliver a noticed that needed to be signed. I called the number in the text which was 833-233-XXXX and they said they were a debt collector. I asked what the debt on my account was about and they said I had a personal loan taken out for $500 back in 2013 that needed to be repaid. I have never taken a person loan out and it isn't on my credit report. Please me advice that this is a scam!

Text regarding letter being delivered. Called and they stated they were a collection company for a payday loan from 2013. I disputed as I've never taken out a payday loan. They said they will report to credit bureau and I can dispute it there or I could pay it in full...even though it's not mine.

Text message saying "ETA: Thursday January 14th (2:00pm - 6:00pm): Notice for (name) at (address) . Signature required at time of delivery."

I received a message that someone one was delivering a package for signature to my home with limited information.

Received 2 texts. Text 1: ETA: Thursday January 14th (2:00pm - 6:00pm): Notice for (name) at (address) Signature required at time of delivery. For updates please call Text 2: Account Services 833-233-8406. reply 9R4tb8 to stop messages. I am not expecting a package and my personal information was incorrect. I cannot find information on the number listed to call.
